A man and an 8-year-old boy were killed Monday in a car crash on Interstate 94 in Jackson County.
Howard Fenske, 72, and Blake Fenske, both of Coloma, Wis., were westbound on Interstate 94 near mile post 115 when an eastbound vehicle driven by Phyllis Nicholson, 51, of Delaware, crossed the median and struck Fenske’s vehicle, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.
Nicholson was taken to an Eau Claire hospital with life-threatening injuries. A condition report was not available.
Her passenger, Sigmund Parzyck, 38, also of Delaware, had non-life-threatening injuries, the state patrol reported. Their seat belt use is unknown.
Maekaela Fenske, 9, was taken to a Black River Falls hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the state patrol. The Fenskes were wearing seat belts.
