Wednesday

Aug. 13

Roast beef dinner to be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Alma Center, from 4 to 7 p.m. There will also be a raffle.

Monday-Friday

Aug. 11-15

St. John Lutheran Church will be holding Friendship Trek vacation Bible school. A light supper will be served from 5 to 5:30 pm each day. VBS programming will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. St. John Lutheran is at 351 West Jefferson, Black River Falls. Call the church at (715) 284-7003 for more information or to register.

Tuesday/Saturday

Aug. 12-16

BLUE MOO LAKE in Alma Center is hosting the 2008 Barefoot Waterskiing National Championships with the finals on Aug. 16 starting at 10 a.m. Admission is $5 and there will be food and refreshments on the grounds. The Blue Moo is located on Highway 95, 3 miles east of Hixton towards Alma Center.

Saturday

Aug. 16

Sons of Norway, Fossen Lodge #534, Black River Falls will meet at the Black River Country Bank meeting room for an ice cream social. There will be initiation of new members andconvention report.

Tuesday

Aug. 19

The summer Tuesday concert at the bandshell at Lunda Park will present the Black River Falls High School Marching Tigers, from 7 to 8 p.m.

Thursday

Aug. 21

The Democratic Party of Jackson County will hold its monthly meeting for business and discussion at 5 p.m. at The Orange Moose Restaurant in the Arrowhead Lodge on Highway 54 by Interstate 94.

The Black River Falls Public Library will feature John Mitchell, R.N. presenting an update on changes in immunizations for children in 6, 9 and 12 grades. The talk will include information about immunizations for all ages including seniors at 6:30 p.m. in the library's conference room.

Aug. 23

Al Muth Harley Davidson 105th Celebration.

Friends of the Black River River Clean-up; Volunteers needed-email Andy at info@friendsoftheblackriver.org.
