The sale will begin promptly at 9 a.m. at the National Guard Armory on Highway 54 W., Black River Falls, and will conclude at 1 p.m. There will be no early sales. Organizing this fundraiser are Partners Barb Hanson, Jean Hagenbrock, Carolyne Hensel, Jenni Hill, Jill Kaphengst and Mary O'Brien.

Some of the items already donated include a variety of furniture including a dining room table with four chairs, dressers, Jenny Lind-style bed and a computer desk. There are also dishes, lamps, clocks, crystal, seasonal decorations, knickknacks, framed pictures, bedding, linens, costume jewelry, a new Brothers sewing machine, new custom-made blinds and old bird cages, billiards cue stand and child's commode and more.

Items will be grouped in different categories to make it easier for buyers. There will be Granny's Attic; Pop's Toys, Tools and Treasures; Plug-It-Ins; Kids' Korner; Art, Jewelry and Gems; Kitchen Katchalls; Furniture Gallery; Holidays and Miscellaneous Items.

People wishing to donate items can bring them to the Armory on Thursday, Aug. 14, and Friday, Aug. 15, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. either day. Items should be in clean and workable condition. Donations of stuffed animals, clothing, shoes, exercise equipment, purses, luggage, baskets and books will not be accepted. Large appliances and furniture will be accepted if the donor agrees to take them back if they do not sell.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will go toward the Partners' new pledge to the hospital for specialized equipment for the Homecare Program.
